What is Django?

It is a web framework written in Python that allows the development of web applications in short development times but with the robustness and flexibility to changes that are needed today in a very competitive world.

With Django you can make complex systems: ecommerce, real estate portals, management extranet, control panel, server for mobile app, monitoring systems, etc.

What advantages does Django have over other platforms?

Nowadays you can do almost anything with any framework.

Django stands out on other systems for several reasons:

• Use of Python: for a program to work In Python, its code must be more or less "clean" (with correct spaces / tabs). This forces us to create clean code. In addition, we apply PEP8 which is a recommendation on how to code. The result is very clean and easily maintainable code. Python is also more efficient and effective than other interpreted languages. Its adoption is very large and is in the top positions as the language most used by the industry. Its ecosystem of libraries and packages is very extensive and you can find almost everything that is needed.
• MVC: The Model-View-Controller design pattern separates the code into three well-differentiated areas. It has many advantages but the most important is that it allows different types of profiles to work simultaneously in the project. The web designer can be with the view (HTML) while the programmer writes the code to obtain information from the database and process it.
• Plugins (apps): There are many plugins or apps to do almost anything. Processing of PDF, Excel, social login, cache, API REST, etc. Thanks to the easy system of unit tests formed by Python / Django the plugins usually have good quality and failures are solved soon.

Django CMS

It is a plugin (addon) for Django that makes it a Content Management System (CMS)

It would be like having a WordPress but with the advantages of a Django system, where as a rule, it is usually more stable than WordPress.

It also has its own ecosystem of utilities and extras. This allows to add the functionalities that are required today to be competitive.
